About BuyingBench
Independent product testing with transparent scoring. No sponsored reviews. No brand partnerships. Just honest test results.
Who We Are
BuyingBench is an independent product testing and review site. We buy products at retail price, put them through standardised tests, and publish the results with transparent scoring. No sponsored content. No brand partnerships. No editorial influence from anyone outside our team.
We started BuyingBench because we were tired of “reviews” that are barely disguised advertisements. Too many review sites accept free products, sponsored placements, or affiliate-driven incentives that bias their recommendations. We wanted to build something different — a site where the testing methodology is public, the scores are defensible, and every product is evaluated with the same rigour regardless of who makes it.
What We Believe
Test results should be transparent. Our methodology is published in full. Every score we give can be traced back to specific, documented criteria. If you disagree with a score, you can see exactly how we arrived at it.
Independence matters. We have no ties to any brand, retailer, or manufacturer. We don’t accept free products. We don’t accept payment for reviews. We don’t let companies preview or edit our test reports before publication.
Negative reviews are as valuable as positive ones. Knowing what to avoid is just as useful as knowing what to buy. We publish honest results even when — especially when — a product fails our tests.
How We’re Funded
BuyingBench is funded through affiliate links. When you click a product link in our test articles and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This revenue covers the cost of purchasing products for testing and maintaining the site.
Affiliate commissions have zero influence on our scores or recommendations. A product’s affiliate rate does not affect its BuyingBench Score. Period. See our affiliate disclosure for complete details.
