Corrections and Change Policy
How BuyingBench reports, reviews, corrects, and records material changes to published evidence and recommendations.
Report a problem
If you find a factual error, broken source, outdated product detail, or missing disclosure, email [email protected] with the page URL and the evidence that should be checked. We review correction requests against the source and testing record rather than changing a claim solely in response to commercial pressure.
What happens next
We reproduce the issue, check the dated evidence, and ask a reviewer who is
distinct from the article author to approve any material correction. A material
change updates the page’s visible change history and sitemap lastmod. Styling,
spelling, and other non-material edits do not receive fake freshness signals.
If evidence has expired, a source disappears, product truth changes, or a claim can no longer be supported, we refresh, qualify, merge, redirect, or park the page. We do not preserve a recommendation merely because it previously ranked.
Independence and disclosure
Affiliate relationships never grant a manufacturer, seller, or partner the right to preview, suppress, or rewrite editorial findings. Any commercial or automation involvement remains visible alongside the article’s methodology, sources, reviewer, and change record.
