Privacy Policy
How BuyingBench handles your data — what we collect, what we don't, and your rights.
Effective date: March 31, 2026
BuyingBench (www.buyingbench.com) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
What We Collect
Email Addresses (Optional)
If you subscribe to our test alert emails, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send you notifications when we publish new product tests. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
Analytics Data
We may collect anonymised usage data (page views, referral sources, device type) to understand how visitors use our site. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking service that profiles users across websites.
Affiliate Link Data
When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer may set cookies to track the referral. This tracking is governed by the retailer’s privacy policy, not ours. BuyingBench receives only aggregated referral reports (total clicks, total sales) — we never receive your personal information from retailers.
What We Don’t Collect
- No account registration required. You don’t need to create an account to read our content.
- No payment information. We don’t sell anything, so we never collect credit card or payment details.
- No personal profiling. We don’t build profiles of individual visitors.
- No cross-site tracking. We don’t use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or third-party ad networks.
Cookies
BuyingBench uses only essential cookies required for site functionality (e.g., form submission tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
Affiliate links direct you to external retailers who may set their own cookies. Refer to each retailer’s cookie policy for details.
Data Retention
- Email addresses: Retained until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
- Analytics data: Aggregated data retained indefinitely. No individual-level data is stored.
Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
