The FreshJuice Pro dominated our tests. Its 300W motor chewed through frozen berries and ice without hesitation, the 4000mAh battery lasted nearly 20 blends per charge, and the dishwasher-safe cup made cleanup effortless. Build quality is excellent — the Tritan plastic is thick and the seal is leak-proof.

The only knocks: it’s the heaviest blender in our test (380g) and costs more than most competitors at $44.99. But you get what you pay for.

Pros

  • Best motor power in our test (300W)
  • Longest battery life (18–20 blends)
  • Dishwasher-safe cup
  • Premium build quality

Cons

  • Heaviest option (380g)
  • Higher price ($44.99)

The NutriBullet Go is a strong runner-up. The 250W motor handles most blending tasks well — frozen fruit takes slightly longer than the FreshJuice Pro but still produces good results. The 3500mAh battery delivers around 15–17 blends. Build quality is solid with a premium feel, and the brand’s reputation for durability holds up.

At $39.99, it’s a good balance of price and performance. The cup isn’t dishwasher-safe, which costs it points against the FreshJuice Pro.

Pros

  • Strong 250W motor
  • Good battery life (15–17 blends)
  • Trusted brand with solid build
  • Reasonable price ($39.99)

Cons

  • Hand-wash only
  • Slightly slower with frozen ingredients than FreshJuice Pro

The BlendJet 2 is the value champion. At $29.99, it offers decent performance for simple smoothies — soft fruit, protein powder, and liquids blend fine. The 150W motor struggles with frozen ingredients and ice, and the 3000mAh battery runs out sooner (12–15 blends), but for basic daily use it gets the job done.

The build quality is adequate but not impressive. The plastic is thinner and the base gets slippery when wet. Hand-wash only.

Pros

  • Most affordable option ($29.99)
  • Lightest weight (340g)
  • Huge colour selection
  • Good enough for basic smoothies

Cons

  • Weak motor (150W) — struggles with frozen fruit
  • Shorter battery life (12–15 blends)
  • Hand-wash only
  • Thinner build quality

The Hamilton Beach Personal offers a surprisingly powerful 175W motor at a budget price ($24.99), but the build quality lets it down. The lid seal leaked in our inversion test, the plastic feels flimsy, and the blade assembly is harder to clean than competitors. The 2500mAh battery is the smallest in our test (10–12 blends).

It blends reasonably well for the price, but the poor seal and build quality make it hard to recommend when the BlendJet 2 costs only $5 more and is meaningfully better built.

Pros

  • Cheapest option ($24.99)
  • Decent motor power for the price (175W)

Cons

  • Lid leaked in our seal test
  • Smallest battery (10–12 blends)
  • Flimsy plastic construction
  • Difficult to clean

The PopBabies Portable is the only blender in our test we can’t recommend. The 120W motor struggled with everything except pre-cut soft fruit and liquid. Frozen berries jammed the blades twice during testing. The 2000mAh battery managed only 8–10 blends. Build quality is poor — the cup cracked along a seam line during our second week of testing.

At $19.99 it’s cheap, but it’s cheap for a reason. Spend the extra $10 on a BlendJet 2 or save for the FreshJuice Pro.

Pros

  • Lowest price ($19.99)
  • Compact size

Cons

  • Motor jams on frozen fruit (120W)
  • Cup cracked during testing
  • Tiny battery (8–10 blends)
  • Can’t handle ice at all

Also great: The NutriBullet Go (8.4/10) is a strong alternative if you want a trusted brand with solid performance at a slightly lower price.

Budget pick: The BlendJet 2 (7.8/10) is the best value option — good enough for simple smoothies at an unbeatable price.

Avoid: The PopBabies Portable (4.8/10) is too underpowered and poorly built to recommend at any price.
